home made broadband antenna

This antenna was build, because of pure necessity... we are currently camp at the far side of the dessert of Qatar. And our means of communication is ether a mobile phone or thru the internet. Mobile phones have postpaid or prepaid credits which are both have expensive rates, So we settle for a more cheaper and much practical which is the use of mobile broadband internet connections...We purchase a postpaid mobile broadband, modified the USB port, download program protocol and attach a router and switches to allow multiple users to connect on a network..

The problems we encounters are low signal input due to sandstorms, And multiple pairs of cables from one room to another...For the first problem we build a parabolic antenna out of ordinary kitchen strainers used in baking. Centered  in the usb broadband to create a cove and a unidirectional flow for signals, and attach it to a PVC pipes...The second problem was solve after we installed a wireless router access point...As of now 40 unit of laptops and notebooks are connected to this system. And rarely we lost our signals. Sometimes power interruption and router break up are our only set backs....
